Shelly Kelnhofer
Shelly is the owner and director of Full Moon Yoga Studio. Shelly has been involved in the field of fitness for most of her life, from running track and field in school to becoming a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor. Shelly competed in local bodybuilding shows for over 10 years, consistently placing in the top 5 in her weight class, and took 1st. place in the Masters' Division at the Ohio Governor's Cup in 1999.
Shelly became interested in yoga while doing rehab from a gym related injury. The study of yoga helped with flexibility and strength, but more importantly with peace of mind.
"I never felt so connected to myself, as I do now with a strong yoga practice. Yoga has made me a better person, more calm, more focused and aware."
Certified by The Yoga Alliance, Shelly received her training through T.R.Y. 4 Life Teacher Training and is also certified in Kids Yoga. She continues to take workshops and study with other teachers. Her personal daily practice consists of a powerful vinyasa, but she also recognizes the benefits of a more gentle and/or meditative style.
Shelly believes that everyone can benefit from yoga, one is never too old to start; there is a level of practice for everybody and for EVERY BODY.
"IF YOU CAN BREATHE...YOU CAN DO YOGA"
Susie Lemons
Instructor, Susie began practicing yoga over 10 years ago. At first, yoga seemed merely a series of stretches with the opportunity to relax a bit. Gradually, the magic of yoga began to reveal itself, resulting in not only increased flexiblity and strength, but in greater mental clarity and inner wisdom. Susie's style ranges from gentle Hatha to Power Vinyasa, with a belief that everyone can share the benefits of a yoga practice, no matter what their fitness level. A graduate of the T.R.Y. 4 Life Training program and a registered teacher with the Yoga Alliance, Susie is also a certified childrens instructor. She is honored to be teaching at the beautiful Full Moon Yoga Studio!
